Relationships when you're abroad!

Love is in the air when your abroad, you are making new friends, discovering a new world, and living a new adventure. It's easy to meet new people, plus when you are new in town it's inevitable to get involved in the local life.

Each status has its advantages. If you are single and abroad, you can have the experience you want, no strings attached, it's easier to move around. And if you don't want to be lonely, you can always make new friends, just forget about being shy.

If you have your significant other in your home town, it's a different story. In Colombia we have a saying, "Amor de lejos, amor de 4" (long distance love, love of 4). And trust me, if it's not easy to manage  anynormal relationship, try inlcuding 1000 milles on the mix. It's either a recipe for disaster or a true love test because if your relationship can survive this and keep strong, treasure that person, that is love.

Meeting someone special while in your abroad time becomes something strong if you're both into it. If it's a local person, they will surely be helpful with the language and there's no better way to get to know a culture than dating a local. If it's a foreign like you, be careful, your time together might have an expiration date, but on the bright side it's always good to get to know and discover new places with someone by your side, and this creates long lasting bonds.

So no matter where you're from, my advice, open yourself to new adventures, your future might be with that person, or maybe not, as long as you make the most out of your journey it will all be worthy!
